The Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (MSDGC) is seeking to fill a Computer Programmer Analyst position. This employee is responsible for performing user desktop support, setting up new desktop PCs and laptops, troubleshooting connectivity problems, mapping network drives and printers, installing software, and performing research as needed. In addition, this employee will be responsible for providing backup support to MSDGC’s Service Desk as needed. The Computer Programmer Analyst will utilize working knowledge of MSDGC’s business systems, Microsoft XP operating system, Active Directory Administration tools, Microsoft Office, Oracle Client, Symantec Ghost, TCP/IP, and SNMP (ping, trace) to accomplish their work. Eligible candidates must demonstrate exceptional customer service aptitude and problem solving skills, the ability to communicate and document effectively, be adept at multi-tasking, and work well in a team environment.
Salary: $37,672 - $50,628 annually

The Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (MSDGC) is seeking a talented and motivated individual to fill a Senior Computer Programmer Analyst (SCPA) position. This employee will provide support to vital MSDGC decision support and business intelligence systems. Responsibilities include identifying the data, application and infrastructure requirements, and the ability to support large scale applications. This individual must be a self-starter, work well in a team environment, and be able to demonstrate the following:
* Experience with application integration.
* Experience with SharePoint Architecture and Web Part Development.
* Ability to utilize .Net Development in conjunction with SharePoint Designer.
* Knowledge of system architecture and design.
* Knowledge of and experience in application support and daily maintenance.
* Ability to learn and support new applications and systems.
* Ability to utilize knowledge of department supported hardware, software and operating systems for configuration and system performance optimization.
* Ability to research, plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade operating systems, databases and application software in decision support applications and integrated solutions.
* Ability to plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot large scale web based applications.
* Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL tools OLAP and data cubes.
* Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
* Ability to effectively communicate project objectives.
* Ability to identify and present solutions options that support well informed decision making.
* Ability to translate business requirements and process models into workable technology solutions.
* Ability to work as a team member with other technical staff to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
The ideal candidate will have extensive background/knowledge in the following applications: SharePoint, .Net, Primavera, MS Project Server, MS Portfolio Server, and Business Objects Server.

These employees will employ and manage complex Business Intelligence and Decision Support technology solutions that incorporate information across numerous business systems. These TSAs will be responsible for solutions that will extract, analyze, summarize, and present information in a manner that provides transparency and enables strategic decision making. The skills and abilities needed to implement and manage these high level BI/DS solutions are highly technical, requiring advanced skills in SQL, Oracle, .Net, and enterprise application development.
